osDateEvo v1.0 Final fix for the EditQuestions-Signup
« on: January 07, 2017, 03:47:15 AM »
Hi Members,

Here is a new but Final fix for the Profile Edit Questions which now shows when your finished
editing the questions and no longer loops back to question 1 ;)

It now shows your finished and also asks the member to upload a profile photo if they don't have one :)

Pics have been attached below to show what it looks like.

Install instructions are very easy

Upload these files to your system :)

Then in your language file for example in English, you need to add this new line. (Your language might be different.)

Go to the language/lang_english/lang_main.php and edit the file:

Add this at line 226 or close to it. It maybe a different line number depending on your language.
Code: [Select]
$lang['upload_newpic'] = 'Please upload a Profile Photo.';
Save then go to the admin, Manage Languages, select English and click load it, so it's now in the database.

Changes will now show in the file, if there is no pic uploaded already.
If you have a pic already in the profile a button called Home will be visible.

All done.

I will add this to the osDateEvo v1.0 and upgrade downloads when I have added the text to all the Languages

Hi Dave,

I'm not sure what you mean.

Do you want the Home button removed?

Hi Dave,

Yes that can be done, just need to edit the editquestions-success.tpl.
Change this:
Code: [Select]
{if $pics|@count <= 0}
        <p style="font-size:120%;"><b>{lang mkey='upload_newpic'}</b></p>
<input type="submit" class="formbutton" value="{lang mkey='section_mypicture'}" />
    {else}
        <input type="submit" class="formbutton" value="{lang mkey='site_links' skey='home'}" />
    {/if}

To this:
Code: [Select]
<p style="font-size:120%;"><b>{lang mkey='upload_newpic'}</b></p>
<input type="submit" class="formbutton" value="{lang mkey='section_mypicture'}" />&nbsp;&nbsp;<input type="submit" class="formbutton" value="{lang mkey='site_links' skey='home'}" />

Hi Dave,

That's right, both buttons would be there finished or not.

The way I had it before was, when they finished the questions it would show the photo upload button as they won't have photo yet, the home button was only there if they had already edited the questions before and had already added a photo uploaded and just wanted to add something in the questions.
