My EVO 1.3 works perfectly except one thing.
« on: March 20, 2019, 08:08:55 AM »
Hi everybody!

My EVO 1.3 works perfectly except one thing. No registered members are saved.
I have reinstalled my EVO on a 7.2 PHP server and it went well. but the problem persists. The member gets his confirmation code and I get a message that a new member has signed up. But when I look in the admin no one is registrated. Can there be any bugs in savesignup.php?

Hi Nils-Erik Wickman,

You might want to check with your host what might be the issue, seems something is different
on your host, they might have enabled or disabled something that other hosts don't.

Ask them why you can't save data through the host.

Hi Nils-Erik Wickman,

When you installed osDateEvo, did you put a port Number in the config setup?

If you did, this is Not Needed on most hosts.

Hi Pharg

No. I have to leave it blank. First I write port 21 but I could not go further so I did not write anything.

Hi Nils-Erik Wickman,

Very strange, nobody else is having or had this problem.

Are you able to change it to PHP 5.6 and then test if it works?

Hi,

Do you have an error_log file where osDate is installed if so could you zip it up and post a link?

For all the time I been using osDate which is a long time I haven't seen this issue before.
I don't want to do the blame game but it does appear your hosting provider has changed something, wether it be an auto update or a manual one they done.

Hi Nils-Erik Wickman,

It seems to me that the Writing is not enabled for the Database, sounds like the reading is enabled only.

Can you check if the database is write and read enabled please under the database permissions?
