Hi Benoitc64,

Biggest problem is in the sql code in the managezips.php file.

This hasn't been used in a long time and doesn't have a link in the menu at all.
Why are we needing to fix something that's not used in osDateEvo ?

CBG more than likely can fix the file and get it working again.

Thanks

I continue to try for resolve this issue.

Because is more easy to add zipcode , with longitude, latitude, with the managezips files than add those information in a text file.

some time when we made CSV files, we can do some mistake like "." instead of "," , if we have many data to change that will be hard.

if the management of state, counties, city, zipcode are ok, the edition will take half of time .

You can access to managezip.php  by

1) Manage Countries / state
2) cilck on the country ->
                statename  ->
                counties ->
                cities, and you have the  managezips,php
the managezip.php is open in cascade, for open it, it must know the country, statename, counties and city you can modify.

first i have process file  states , counties, city, and zipcode for US

1) put the file  managezips.php  into  the admin directory
2) put the file  managezips.tpl   into the templates/admin/default

3) log in admin

4) click on  Manage countries /states (step 1)

5) In filter record at the bottom  put  US for find United States and click show

6) Click on the United states (second column  (Country name)

It show you a list on all states in this country.

7) click on the states you want. ( second column (states name)

8) click on the county in     County/District Name column

9) choose a city  in city/town name

10) you see the zipcode

11 ) click at the right  in the option the first icon to modify the record and you arrive to the final

12) try to change the  zipcode, latitude or longitude and click on the Modify zip/post code button, They say The zip/post has been modified

      and no change was made in the database.

Hi Benoitc64,

The reason I couldn't find it is because for some reason the County / District  and the  Cities / Towns are not loading.

I had to manually add a few to get to where you were talking about, so there must be other problems also with loading
the Counties an Cities.

Now I have added a few manually, I don't seem to get any errors but I do see it's not saving
the Longitude and Latitude you have added as a mod.

That's the problem , the Longitude and Latitude is not saved.

The Sql in line 162 seem ok

         $osDB->query('update ! set code = ?, latitude = ?, longitude = ? where id = ?', array( ZIPCODES_TABLE, $_REQUEST['code'], (isset($_REQUEST['latitude'])?$_REQUEST['latitude']:''), (isset($_REQUEST['longitude'])?$_REQUEST['longitude']:''), $_REQUEST['id'] ) );

i suppose the $_REQUEST keep the old data, so it was not updated with the new data.

Hi Benoitc64,

I am not strong with Sql, I would suggest someone that is like CBG.

But even to me, that doesn't look right.
