« on: April 10, 2018, 09:39:22 AM »
Hello all.
i have installed osdate 2.6.5.
egter when I go to: Site's Global Settings
and want to adjust it by clicking on the edit buton regt of the line he neatly jumps to that item egter a box with possible he to adapt does not come.
as little as check boxes or list boxes.
does anyone know what this is about and more importantly how I make sure that I can adjust this.
If someone wants to have more information about server php and if the database please check here: http://dating.jenp.net/

Hi superpeter,

OsDate v2.6.5 is not updated for PHP 5.6 and won't work correctly.

You need to install our latest version osDateEvo v1.3

Hello all
I'm trying to install osdate evo now.
I opted for ferse installation for convenience.
egter I get the following error messages during the installation
Code: [Select]
The user peter must have permission to execute all of below commands in order to continue. Either try another login or contact the support at your hosting service.

These commands are needed to install database tables, and then insert, update and delete data from those tables.
create Success!
insert Success!
select Success!
update Success!
delete Success!
alter Failed! Specified key was too long; max key length is 767 bytes
drop Success!
I think this is strange because my account has all the rights on all databsses.
at least when I look at phpmyadmin, everything is checked.
can someone tell me how to do this?
I also have full access to the entire server, so if on debian linux 9 a package is missing that I have to install, then I also like to hear and install it with pleasure.
hopefully someone can help me further and we get it working
greetings: Peter

Hi superpeter,

It seems to be a permission issue on the server, something to do with the VARCHAR(255) in the installer.

I have changed some settings in the installer database query and tested it on my server, works fine on mine,
I need you to try it on your server and let me know if it worked?

Please try the installer I have attached below.

first thank you very much.
the installation has now gone completely well.
I now have the problem again as he stands in the very first post: namely that I can not change anything at Site's Global Settings.
greetings: Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks, had a quick look just now, not sure why the buttons aren't working on your server, will look into it and see
if I can find the issue.

This would happen many years ago only on some servers, I have no issues on my server so I never see this problem.

Regards, Phill

Hello: Phil
thanks first.
I also thought that in the past this was a known problem and well if I had an old server I could understand it.
I have to install the latest updates of the week.

Greetings: Peter

After all this work, found out it was something to do with the sub domain setup, not the script  :D
