Hi everybody,

I am new to osdate and trying to build my first dating site !! I purchased a template for 25 dollar and am trying to customize it...
I will use siteapps to make it not only mobile friendly but also add custom css to mobile version.

I am not that good of a coder and wanted to ask HOW can I edit the homepage design to get a div in which I can frame the facebook login from the facebook api ? anyone interested in joining my project?
My goal is to create a thai dating site ( i live in bkk and will have lots of girls to register :-) )
Bangkok is the city with the most facebook users in the world so i think its very important and want to take this opportunity to create an open source, free solution for everybody to use

After reading through this I got an understanding of how I might be able to start with the FB login:

https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/login-flow-for-web/v2.0

Take a look and let me know what you think

I have moved your post as it was not in the right place and had nothing to do with the post you posted in

Hi kryme,

Ask Marcam as he has a Facebook plugin already for osDate.
You need to also get hold of scvoyager for the mobile side as he already has made a mobile responsive template here.

Pharg ( Phill )

Bangkok is the city with the most facebook users in the world
It's always good to give good information when starting on a forum. Read this: http://www.internetworldstats.com/stats3.htm#asia

I'm from the USA and live in the Philippines and Cambodia and visit Thailand often. Draw back with countries like Cambodia and Thailand is finding someone that can speak English unlike the Philippines were the English language is taught all through school as a mandatory second language.

Ok, back to the topic. ::)

First of all, thank you all for your advise !

@scvoyager
Your templates look great !
I forgot to mention, that I do live in Bangkok and am fluent in Thai, planning a site similar to thaifriendly.com, bilingual ^^
The best plan would be to think ahead and establish an AEC dating community !! We could be a partner network  ;-))

Wasn't the facebook login to be paid for ? In my opinion it is outdated and should be free by now to anyone ,I just need a little help :-))
at the moment I am creating an additional .css file that will come in when smaller screen sizes are detected, so osdate will get a simple and modern mobile interface.

Let's face it all together, the online dating market is highly competitive and as I was researching more and more about osdate, I began to realize that this free, highly functional sourcecode (osdate) has great potential, but also needs a community that is eager to develop it further to catch up with nowadays zeitgeist !

I will keep you guys updated about the progress of my fb login and mobile css as well !

peace and out ;-)
