Hot or Not (Is it possible to alter the design in template)
« on: August 17, 2014, 02:26:36 PM »
I've been working on a template and looking to alter some of the design for the Hot or Not plugin as its looks out of place at the minute with my current design.

Currently from what i could see is the Hot or Not plugin has its template located within the plugin folder so naturally i would i have to provide separate files with the theme to replace the stock plugin template,  so i would wondering if it was possible to override the plugin template and replace it with the altered one which would be located in template files not the plugin files..

(NOTE: Looking for a possible solution which DOES NOT involve altering the plugin files)

Hi,

I am pretty sure it is not possible for templates in the templates folder to change plugin templates.

Hey, didn't think so. I'll just have to bundle the altered plugins with the template package with directions of where to put them.

The plugin uses the default.css. I think you can add a link rel in the index header for the plugin and make another css file for it to have css over rides. I have done this with templates in joomla but have not tried with osdate but it should work.
