Default Responsive Template
« on: April 18, 2014, 02:11:09 AM »
I have finished a responsive template based off of the default template that has all default tpl files so it can be used as a default template replacement and then if you wish to build your own template you can build it off of the responsive design. This is not a mobile detect just css and html so you don't have to worry about having to upgrade mobile devices or operating systems as mobile detect programs require to stay up to date.

You can view the template at Default Mobile 2 Column Template.

To view the modified members page for mobile send me a PM and I will give you login details.

Hi scvoyager,

Nice rework of the default template and loads nicely, however when logged in using Firefox there is a error with the logo
covering and blocking the most of the menu.

It all works perfect in IE11 and Google Chrome :)

When viewing on an iPad mini in the upright position the main area drops down, but when in the sideways position it is fine

In the stand up mode what is the screen resolution for the mini? I have on done the phone and desktop files and when I know those are correct and the way I want them it only will take me a short time to add tablet sizes.

If you get a chance can you try your ipad mini
again. I have emulators to test over 500 devices but the mini is a beast all in it's own. I added my a_grade_mobile but have not completely set the css yet.

Thanks for that one. That is the left sidebar that I had turned off using visibility:hidden 1px;1px; and I changed it to display:none to fix that problem.

Hello all,

It is really coming good... Great work.  I am old fan of osdate. Please can you help me to understand what are most top 10 changes which are required in default theme of osdate 2.6.5 to make in responsive.  Is changes in default.css are sufficient.... ?  Please advice or share the theme [ if possible ]

Rgds,

Hi scvoyager,

Great work, most of the template is working perfect now in all explorers, only found one problem
in the calender, missing headers.
How much will you be selling this default template?

Thanks again Pharg,
I had not set the css templates for the calendar and it was trying to read the default.css which the template doesn't have. It has been fixed.

I'm going to set the price at $10US which I think is fair. Since you have been such a big help you get one for free when you think it is ready for release.

By the way Pharg you were doing more than just testing the default responsive template since the template in installed on my *****.0.1 so you were testing it at the same time. ;D

Just tested it and it loads fine now without the left bar.
