Search interfering with members online
« on: December 31, 2016, 02:04:02 AM »
I just started working on someones osDate site and encountered this problem. Anytime i search fro members it updates the usersonline with the search result. Any idea how to fix? Tried changing a few things and adding a new script but not working. Thanks

Hi kanyeevel,

Sorry for the delay, it was New Years Eve here and were having some fun  ;)

What seems to be the problem with the online search?

If nobody is online it wont find anyone or is there a error?

Pharg ( Phill )

Hi kanyeevel,

What is the tpl's file name you changed or edited please?

As you see in the pic attached, the special offers does show in the homepage as it's suppose to.

Other than that, I don't know what else you mean by the special offers not showing as it only shows in the logged out homepage area, it is not visible once you are logged in.

Pharg ( Phill )

I just fixed that also... The former programmer changed the lang.php .. so offer_text, speed_dating and others where not declared. Had to declare them before it showed up. Thanks again.  :D

 :( :(
I thinks its my server but after editing the page_hdr01.tpl file like so >>
<div style=" height:40px; " class="module_head">

<div style="font-size: 20px; padding-left: 6px;height:14px; padding-top:11px; padding-bottom:2px;" align="center">{$page_hdr01_text}</div>

Font-size doesnt seem to take effect. Still stays at 14px. See attachecd

Your Welcome

Hi kanyeevel,

Please use full words on here, using social text like @ and text talk will make it hard for other members in their searches.

By the way here is a pic of My matches search results and it is fine.

Ok. Yea but the search matches were showing up on the left column where your stat is currently at. check the left_column.tpl where you have online_users.

Hi Kanyeevel,

As you can see in the pic again all is fine.

Left column is on the left, online users in the center like it should be.

Hi Kanyeevel,

I was looking at you modification and I see why your text wont change.
In this you have a class and style which both are trying to set the font size, so they are conflicting.
Quote
<div class="offer_head"><p style="text-decoration:underline;font-size:36px; text-align:center">{lang mkey='coming_soon_city'}</p></div><br />
