i didn't log into the backend for a long while and now i need to but lost the text file where i saved it on notepad due to a hard disk defect. The password is a combination of some personal phrases with some symbols but it is the exact symbol i can't remember. Any help on how i can retrieve it?

Go into your user database table and change the admin password to 1a1dc91c907325c69271ddf0c944bc72

This will set your admin password to pass

Now login to your admin panel and reset your password.

Thanks scvoyager for the timely reply. Had other things going on so didn't reply immediately. lol...

i tried what you said using the MySQL database in my Hosting CP and saw alotta tables like "Field" "type" "Function" "Null" "Value".....
I pasted the code you suggested under the value and tried using pass but it still did not log me in  :(

Hi deprince,

You can find how to fix and update your osdate by reading our pages here http://www.osdateforum.com/configuration-installation-4/installing-or-upgrading-osdate-daitng-script/

By doing a upgrade you can restore the admin password and for some people the admin username if you changed it.
