Hi BaDTaG,

Whenever you change anything in the lang_main.php files you have to go into the admin to the Manage Languages link, click it then load the changes in your selected language so it takes affect in the database, this also and will then show in the website.

hey badtag

im sure you have already got this sorted but seen as you didnt post your rewrite config. i thought i would as this is the only thread that has been showing up in searches for the nginx rewrite settings

Code: [Select]
location / {
            rewrite ^/([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)$ /showprofile.php?username=$1;
            rewrite ^/([^/]+).htm$ /showprofile.php?id=$1;
        }

        location /news {
             rewrite ^/news([^/]+).htm$ /index.php?page=shownews&newsid=$1;
        }

        location = /allnews.html {
             rewrite ^(.*)$ /index.php?page=allnews;
        }

        location = /privacy.html {
             rewrite ^(.*)$ /index.php?page=privacy;
        }

        location = /terms_of_use.html {
             rewrite ^(.*)$ /index.php?page=terms_of_use;
        }

        location = /services.html {
             rewrite ^(.*)$ /index.php?page=services;
        }

        location = /faq.html {
             rewrite ^(.*)$ /index.php?page=faq;
        }

        location = /stories.html {
             rewrite ^(.*)$ /index.php?page=stories;
        }

        location /story {
             rewrite ^/story([^/]+).htm$ /index.php?page=showstory&storyid=$1;
        }

        location = /articles.html {
             rewrite ^(.*)$ /index.php?page=articles;
        }

        location /article {
             rewrite ^/article([^/]+).htm$ /index.php?page=showarticle&articleid=$1;
        }

        location ~ ^(.*)\.(inc|inc\.php|tpl|tpl\.php|sql|dat|csv|exe|dll)$ {
             deny all;
        }

        location ~ ^\.ht {
             deny all;
        }

        location ~ ^config(\..*)?$ {
             deny all;
        }

from what i can see all links are working fine and the username shows in the url :D

All the best

Hi aweegander,

Thanks for that.

I take it, this for the .htaccess file which has nothing to do with the default language though.

This needs a correction to remove the txt so the robots.txt can be read ;)
Code: [Select]
location ~ ^(.*)\.(inc|inc\.php|tpl|tpl\.php|sql|dat|csv|exe|dll)$ {
             deny all;
        }
