Weird issue I'm having.
« on: September 27, 2014, 04:22:54 AM »
So I don't know if anyone else is having this issue but my flashchat loads fine and after a few changes it works just the way I want it to but after that I keep getting a white screen and no one can log in or anything and then I have to reset the whole chat.

Anyone else having this issue? Is there a fix?

I'm not quite sure why anyone even bothers with flashchat, never been a fan of it, it's something id expect to find bundled with a Commodore 64 if I'm honest,

I am having the same issue.

I downloaded the fixes for flashchat and installation is successful. I could login to the chat room as user as well as admin.

After couple of hours, when I tried to access the chat as a registered user/guest/admin, i just get the white screen... I tried flashchat.php, flashchat_osdate.php... all same..just white screen..

I didnt modify any files.

Hope I can get some help to resolve..

I am going to install in a different folder and see how it goes...

I have over 700,000 members now and flashchat is still working even with a big load on it.

Are you getting a white screen even logging into the admin panel?

Thanks for your reply.

Any kind of access to flashchat was giving whitescreen only... flashchat.php, flashchat_osdate.php and admin...

Second installation integrated with osdate also went the same way after few hours of successful installation.

So, I now i have installed flashchat as a standalone (not integrating with osdate) and it looks fine for the last few hours. I will update the status if it follows the same way.

I did two fresh installs 4 days ago and they are still working fine so it is hard to help. Could be something with your hosting with the big panic of the adobe flash vulnerbility found on the 12th.

Hello All,

Update about the Flash Player in most Explorers.

Your FlashChat may stop working since Google Chrome and Firefox ETC are all blocking Adobe Flash Player by default now!

Mozilla And Google are blocking all versions of Adobe Flash Player in its browsers after a recent breach left Flash vulnerable to attack.
All versions of Flash are now blocked "by default" in until Adobe releases a more stable version. Users can, however, can enable Flash via the settings menu.
