[SOLVED]Advanced search by distance?
« on: February 25, 2014, 01:51:46 AM »
Many other dating scripts have a feature to include searching by distance. OsDate does have IP location profiles I just can't figure out have to put it together on the first page of advance search. If anyone here has any ideas it would be great to here.

kosmo I think you are missing the point. I want quests and users to not only be able to search by country but also within a radius such as x number of miles of their location or say a remote location by zip code being they may be traveling and want to see who is in within a certain distance from the place they are traveling to. See the screen shot attached and you will get the idea of what I wanted and what I have done.

Hi Paul, yes I got it to work but it won't fit using a template based on the default template since it will be to wide for the left or right column.

You can try the attached file. Install it in the template you are using or the default. With the standard template you are using go to homepage.tpl file and insert {include file="radius-search.tpl"} above or below the special offer tpl.

Try uploading that file, then in index.tpl find (include searchprofile.tpl) change to (include yournewfilename.tpl)

Hi how can i replace the search on homepage with this one

Hi divtechs, Yours is in the index.tpl file but you might find you will have to make the header bigger to get it to fit or you can move it to the panel on the right hand side.

Hi divtechs,

The header in yours has already pushed down to let the search fit, the problem your having now is the width of the new search box is to big, you will need to edit the radius-search.tpl which I see is set to <table style='width:450px'> your old search was only 200px.

You will need to play around with the width to get it all even again.
