osDate 2.6.5 has been released
« on: April 12, 2014, 12:43:01 PM »
Hi,

I have released osDate 2.6.5 and can be downloaded from the Download Area.
You can see a running demo at: http://www.osdatedemo.com/

osDate 2.6.5 has the following changes:

1. Changed =& and = & to just = in admin, includes and root files.

2. Updated the SQL folder with the SQL fix, for new versions of MySQL.

3. Fixed error in editquestions.tpl was giving a white page.

4. Replaced eregi_replace with preg_replace in
admin\managepoll.php
admin\modifyarticle.php
admin\modifynews.php
admin\modifypoll.php
admin\modifypolloption.php
admin\modifystory.php
admin\savearticle.php
admin\savenews.php
admin\saveseo.php
admin\savestory.php

5. Hopefully fixed a security bug in savevideo.php that was allowing any file to be uploaded, should now only allow Video and Audio files. This does NOT fix the loading of videos, will need to look at that another time.

6. Check to see if a couple of GEO IP functions exist.
If the server has GEO IP installed, it tried to load the function(s) again and can cause a white screen.

How do I upgrade?
If you are already running osDate 2.6, just overwrite the files
If you running anything before you will need to upgrade to osDate 2.6 first.

All of that work and you didn't fix the default template header css. All kidding aside thank you for taking so much time out of your personal life to bring OsDate up to date.

It's a simple css change. You can see the header text is cut off on the bottom.

Osdate 2.6.5 is compatible with Smarty 3.1.18 or Smarty 2.X.  - Please also can some share the link to download the osdatePDO version which I hope is PHP 5.5 compatible + Smarty 3.X... Reason being don't want to do repeated excercise of migration every year. Please help.

hello,

Just thought to inform you alll... Osdate 2.6.5 has installed scuccessfully on PHP 5.5.11 with MYSQL 5.5.  Initial Sanity check looks fine.
I am on VPS CentOS 6.5 with Cpanel having Apache 2.4.9

I feel it will be good to update this version with Smarty 2.6.28 [ compatible with PHP 5.5 ]  or Smarty 3.X.X however... I have not see any issue with Smarty 2.6.25

I will look at a Smarty update, when/if I do the next update on 2.x.
I may just continue on from osDatePDO/osDate 3 as I was a tester and have all the files still, somewhere.
Before anyone ask, no I will not share the osDatePDO files, as there are issues with it, and it not complete, that why it was never released.
