Is this template idea to complex to release?
« on: July 18, 2014, 05:39:51 AM »
I'm going to take some time off from creating templates for osDate and going to get back to my base template that I started for myself and never got back to.

The idea of this template is each page will have it's own layout style. Each page type is assigned is own index.tpl file in which has it's own css class. In this way each page can have it's width set to be one page, 2 column, 3, column and have any of it's own boxes and menus be it top or bottom.

It may sound complex but it is actually easy to work with for those that want to create a very custom look on every page.

Hi scvoyager,

That sounds the same way I have been thinking these templates should be also if I am understanding this correctly.

The way I see it, well this is my thoughts anyway, the middle page should be the only page loading most of the time, leaving the header static and the left column and right column as they are with maybe rotating banners, news etc

So when your viewing profile etc only the main page changes :) this is what I would like ;)
