Responsive default template released (PAID)
« on: April 22, 2014, 06:06:52 AM »
The Responsive Default Template has been made to be a direct replacement for the default template that comes with osDate.

*BOTH THE 2 AND 3 COLUMN TEMPLATES HAVE BEEN UPDATED 05-06-2014

*Special Note*
If you have a custom template already and plan on using it with the Responsive Default don't bother purchasing this template. In being responsive this template has modified tpl files and multiple css files for desktop, mobile, tablet and admin.

Things to do first…
/***IMPORTANT***/ In the admin panel set your template to default  /***IMPORTANT***/
Set the menus to the following:
User Menu to be used   top
Admin Menu to be used   top

Upload the template your templates folder.

Rename the original default template to something like default-orig or just delete it completely.

Now rename the responsive-default to default

Your site is now running on the responsive template.

Now if you wish to start developing your own custom temple upload the template again and leave the name as responsive-default and in the admin panel switch your skin to this template. Now you can edit the responsive deault and not disturb that original default.

You will find that their is no longer a default.css file.
The files are now as follows:
admin.css
desktop.css (min-size 780px)
mobile.css (size 320px and smaller)
tablet.css (mix-size 320px) *CURRENTLY USING SAME CSS AS MOBILE*
In these files you can change css settingS as you wish.

*SPECIAL NOTE*
If you create a css class in one css file you need to make a duplicate in the other. You can ignore the admin.css if you wish.

Logos:
You will need two logos, one for desktop and one for mobile devices

Desktop logo is set to be 450px x 100px. It can be smaller is you wish.
Mobile logo is set to be 300px x 65px.

The logos are located in the images file and name logo.gif and logo_mobile.gif

also, on the demo version all the pics in newest profiles etc etc are all the same height and all look the same, on the version i have downloaded all the pics are every size you can imagine, all looks very messy indeed, image sizes in admin dont change anything at all neither does thumbnail size...

scvoyager I love your work, is so amazing. If I say you are giving a new life to osDate it won't be wrong.

I can see your custom demo themes are based on *****.0.1.

I would like to know if these responsive themes work on the very recent version of osDate?

Cheers
